A Slave To Stone

I am a slave to stone,
cold and hardened,
ready to polish what comes my way.

I can not look you in the eye,
for I fear my master's wrath,
he holds my soul captive,
with many dark and corrupting lies.

I am a slave to stone,
burned out and frosted over.
I do not feel love,
For I've been not one day sober,
drunk on the sting of hatred.

I am a slave to stone,
it follows me wherever I go,
Drilled into the ground, my chains bring me down.

As I walked into the water, cold hands held me down.
As I kept my heart of bitter stone, I slowly drown.

I am a slave to stone,
